FAQs

Q: Who is eligible to participate in FDP?

A: U7 and U8 Boys & Girls

Q: How do I register?

A: Register in your PlayMetrics app or online by clicking the "REGISTER NOW" button found on the top of each season page in the Development tab drop down menu.

Q: What is the Cost?

A: Please see details regarding each season's programs on Development tab.

Q: How are teams formed?

A: By gender, birth year, and play-with requests.

Q: What age group should I register my child for?

A: FSC will assign players to an age group team based on their birth year.

Q: Can my child play for a team in a higher age group?

A: Individual requests will be considered, but play ups are allowed by skill only in FDP. Please contact the FSC Office or the FDP Program Director and a final decision will be made after discussing the player’s experience/skills with you.

Q: What equipment should I bring?

Shin guards: MANDATORY for ALL players of every age. Must be completely covered by long socks.


Soccer shoes/cleats: FDP requires soccer cleats.


Water: Please bring plenty of water. 


No jewelry allowed. Eyeglasses should be secured with a headband. 


Soccer Ball: All players should bring a fully-inflated size 3 soccer ball to each session.


Q: Is it possible for my child to request a specific coach?

A: FDP does not allow coach requests.

Q: My child would like to play with a friend. Is this possible?

A:  Yes. ONE play-with request only is allowed at online registration, and must be reciprocal. Your play-with request must be a child in the same birth year. Keep in mind, all players of the same age and gender practice at the same location, so your child will see their friends and you can carpool.

Q: Can I drop my child off and go do other things during practice and games?

A: We strongly recommend that a parent/guardian be present with their child during the time they’re at the soccer field, in case there are any problems with the child during the session.

Q: Where are FDP practices and games conducted?

Summer: Plymouth Creek Playfields


Fall: Plymouth Creek Playfields and Ridgemount Playfields


Winter: Plymouth Community Center and Fusion Facility

Q: What happens if there is inclement weather?

A: All practices/games in Summer & Fall are outside and are played in all weather, with the exception of lightning, excessive heat, or poor field conditions. Players should dress appropriately for the weather.


Winter Indoor sessions are held indoors, and the dome is often quite chilly in the mornings - please dress your child appropriately.

Q: I'd like to volunteer coach, how do I proceed?

A: Thank you! The Fusion Development Program relies on volunteer coaches. Please check the Coach Volunteer question in the online registration when you register your child, and we will contact you close to the start of the season. 



Q: How do I order a uniform?

A: FDP Summer, Fall, and Winter BLOCK 2 require uniforms. You can order them through our uniform supplier, Signature Concepts. Click here.


Please note - if you already have the current uniform you do not need to order another.

Q: Is there an additional cost for uniforms?

A: Yes. you are required to pay for the uniform. The cost is approximately $65.

Q: What size soccer ball does my child need?

A: FDP requires players to bring a fully inflated size 3 soccer ball.

Q: What is the Refund Policy for FDP Soccer?

A: Requests for refunds must be received, in writing, two weeks prior to the first day of the program. FSC will not consider refunds requested after this date unless we are unable to place your child in a program. Refunds will be in the form of a credit for future FSC programs, less a $30 administrative fee.
